This award was originated and donated by Julian and Elaine Baird in recognition of the early ground breaking excellence in Coton agility by Multi-Champion Bar-Ken’s Happy Go Lucky.
This award is given each year for the highest ranking USACTC, Inc. Coton de Tulear performing in the annual AKC National Invitational Agility Championships.
The sterling silver trophy tray, owned by the Club, is a perpetual award intended to further interest in the agility abilities of our breed. Each year’s winning Coton’s and owner’s names are engraved on the tray, and the winning owner (and breeder and handler, if different) is presented with a framed Certificate in Agility Excellence. In addition the winning owner is allowed to take the tray home for display for a period of one year.
This award is an annual award given to a member of the USACTC, Inc whose Coton has highest AKC ranking each year. The trophy is a perpetual award, owned by the club and inscribed with the winning Coton’s name and owner’s name. The winner will be presented with a commemorative plaque to keep. This award was originated and donated by Suzanne Lavigne and Andr’e Sauv’e for special recognition of the years hard work established by the founder of USACTC, Inc. Leon and Helga Lopatin. USACTC will utilize the statics and effective date employed by The Canine Chronicle to calculate points earned.
The Golden Bone is an award that is given at the discretion of the Board. It is awarded to those individuals who as dedicated members give 110% percent to the club. It is our way of saying “Thank you”.
The Register of Merit award is given to those breeders who have bred at least 2 USACTC, Inc. Champions. These breeders are presented with a plaque that signifies this award at the annual meeting. The Board of the USACTC, Inc. reviews and and revises the requirements for this award.
AKC Breeder of Merit
- Has a history of at least 5 years involvement with AKC events
- Earned AKC Conformation, Performance or Companion* event titles on a minimum of 4 dogs from AKC litters they bred/co-bred.
- Member of an AKC club.
- Certifies that applicable health screens are performed on your breeding stock as recommended by the Parent Club.
- Demonstrates a commitment to ensuring 100% of the puppies produced are AKC registered.
